HPI
For vehicle history checks company HPI Sarand helped to enhance the company’s consumer website used by hundreds of members of the public every day to discover the history of vehicles they are interested in buying. The WinSingad application that analyses audio input in real time has been the subject of a number of academic papers and formed a central element of the Institute of Electrical Engineers’ series of Faraday lectures designed to stimulate an interest in engineering in younger people.
Ford
In the motor manufacturing industry, Sarand designed the original Parts Catalogue database for Ford of Europe that is still in use today. It supplies information to the Ford Dealer network throughout the world. The data is maintained in a multitude of languages and published in electronic formats on CD and websites. For Caterpillar, Sarand designed and built a self-contained Parts Releasing application filtering that enhances data fed directly from MG Rover manufacturing systems and publishes it to SAP inventory and catalogue publishing systems throughout Europe.
Axial
Sarand helped design an Asset and Order Tracking system used by more than 50 sites across Europe for Axial, Tibbett and Britten’s automotive arm. This included design and delivery of the billing and data interfacing modules, liaising with 16 motor manufacturers across Europe.
